Beechcraft King Air 360 base

The Beechcraft King Air 360 base is the latest iteration of Beechcraft’s iconic twin‑turbo‑propeller line, tracing its roots back to the original Model 90 introduced in 1964. Building on the proven King Air 350 platform, the 360 was unveiled in 2020 as a modernized, more capable family member. It retains the high‑wing, pressurised design that has made the King Air a workhorse for corporate transport, med‑evac, and utility missions, while incorporating a number of aerodynamic, avionics and interior upgrades.

Key features include the more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A‑67B engines delivering 1,765 shaft‑horsepower each, a revised wing with a new five‑degree wing tip device that improves lift‑to‑drag ratio, and an enhanced Honeywell Primus Apex glass cockpit with touchscreen controls and synthetic‑vision capability. The cabin, stretched by 34 inches, offers up to 10 passenger seats, larger windows, and an improved climate‑control system that boosts comfort on longer trips. The 360 base model provides a maximum cruise speed of 312 kt, a range exceeding 2,000 nm, and a service ceiling of 35,000 ft.

Its significance lies in combining decades of King Air reliability with contemporary technology, keeping the series competitive against newer turboprops and cementing Beechcraft’s reputation for versatile, cost‑effective performance in both commercial and military environments.
