Cessna Citation Latitude
The Cessna Citation Latitude is a midsize business jet introduced by Cessna in 2015 and delivered first in 2017. Developed as a successor to the Citation Sovereign, the Latitude blends the reliability of the long‑standing Citation line with modern technology and a larger cabin. It is built at Cessna’s factory in Wichita, Kansas, and shares the same wing, landing gear and media‑rich avionics suite as the Citation Sovereign+ and the newer Citation Longitude, allowing for commonality across the fleet. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D turbofan engines, the aircraft cruises at Mach 0.80, covering up to 2,950 nautical miles with a maximum payload of 2,500 pounds. The cabin, measuring 5.6 meters in length, features a flat floor, full‑height windows and a stand‑up galley, providing comfort for up to nine passengers on transcontinental trips. The Latitude’s significance lies in its ability to offer long‑range performance, low operating costs and a familiar Cessna handling feel, making it a popular choice for corporate flight departments and charter operators. Its entry into service reinforced Cessna’s position in the competitive midsize jet market and demonstrated the company’s commitment to evolving the Citation family.
