Gulfstream Aerospace
Gulfstream G500/G600 family
The Gulfstream G500 and G600 are the latest members of Gulfstream Aerospace’s long‑standing line of ultra‑long‑range business jets. The program was launched in 2014 as a clean‑sheet replacement for the legacy GIV, and the first flight of the G500 prototype took place in February 2015, followed by the G600 in 2016. Certification was achieved in 2018 (G500) and 2019 (G600), and deliveries began in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Both aircraft share a common airframe, composite wing and a next‑generation Symmetry Flight Deck that integrates touchscreen controls, active‑flow‑through environmental systems and the PlaneView II cockpit display suite. The G500 carries up to 19 passengers, cruises at Mach 0.85 with a range of 5,200 nautical miles, while the larger G600 seats up to 22, reaches Mach 0.90 and can travel 6,500 nautical miles nonstop. Advanced aerodynamics, high‑by‑pass PW800 engines and a digital cabin management system deliver lower operating costs and unprecedented comfort. The G500/G600 family reinforces Gulfstream’s leadership in the high‑performance business‑jet market, setting new benchmarks for speed, range, and technology, and reshaping corporate and governmental air travel worldwide. Operators value its reliability and the extensive Gulfstream global support network, which ensures high availability across continents.
