Hawker Siddeley

HS.125 CC2

The Hawker Siddeley HS.125 CC2 is a midsize twin‑engine business jet that entered service in the early 1970s as an upgraded version of the original HS.125 series. Developed by Hawker Siddeley in the United Kingdom, the CC2 (also known as the Series 600) featured more powerful Garrett TFE731‑3 turbofan engines, a redesigned wing with increased fuel capacity, and a modernized avionics suite that met emerging ICAO standards. First deliveries began in 1974, and the type quickly attracted corporate, governmental, and military customers because of its reliable performance, relatively low operating costs, and ability to operate from short runways. The cabin, typically configured for eight to ten passengers, offered a flat floor and generous headroom, setting a new comfort benchmark for executive transport. Over its production run, around 300 airframes were built, and many remain in service today, often converted for maritime patrol, medical evacuation, or telemetry missions. The HS.125 CC2’s blend of efficiency, versatility, and proven engineering helped cement the twin‑jet business aircraft market and paved the way for later Hawker and Bombardier designs, leaving a lasting imprint on business aviation.
