H&E Paramotores Ziklon
The H&E Paramotores Ziklon, produced by the Spanish firm H&E Paramotores, entered the market in 2012 as the company’s first purpose‑built paramotor designed for both competition and recreational pilots. Developed from extensive testing of earlier H&E models, the Ziklon incorporated a lightweight aluminum frame, a reinforced carbon‑fiber propeller cage and a compact 25‑hp Simonini Mini‑3 engine that delivers reliable thrust while keeping the total weight under 30 kg. Its fuel system holds up to 8 liters, providing up to three hours of flight time, and the ergonomic harness, with quick‑release buckles and adjustable padding, enhances comfort during long cross‑country flights. A notable feature is the integrated safety valve that automatically shuts down the engine if the propeller encounters a sudden overload, a first in the paramotor sector. Since its launch, the Ziklon has been praised for its ease of assembly, low vibration levels and excellent climb rate of 2.5 m/s, making it a favorite among pilots transitioning from foot‑launched gliders. Its success helped expand the European paramotor market, setting new standards for reliability and performance that influenced subsequent designs across the industry. Today the Ziklon remains a benchmark model, celebrated at international airshows for its blend of simplicity and high‑performance engineering.
