Honda HA-480 HondaJet Echelon

The Honda HA‑480 HondaJet Echelon represents the latest evolution of Honda Aircraft Company’s pioneering light‑jet platform. Unveiled in 2023 as the successor to the original HondaJet, the Echelon builds on a decade of record‑setting performance, reliability and market acceptance that began with the first flight of the HA‑420 in 2003. The aircraft incorporates a new wing‑tip-mounted engine configuration, refined composite structures, and an upgraded General Electric Advanced Turbofan, delivering a cruise speed of Mach 0.78, a range exceeding 2,000 nautical miles and a cabin altitude of 6,000 ft at cruise. Advanced avionics feature a fully integrated Garmin G3000 suite with touchscreen controls, synthetic vision and real‑time health monitoring. Interior flexibility is enhanced by the “Echelon” cabin layout, offering up to six passengers in a spacious, low‑noise environment. Production takes place at Honda’s Albemarle, North Carolina facility, where precision manufacturing and rigorous testing have earned FAA and EASA certification. The HA‑480 positions HondaJet as a leader in the Very Light Jet market, demonstrating how innovative aerodynamics and modern systems can lower operating costs while expanding utility for business, medical and governmental missions worldwide.
