The HRS‑3 is a medium‑lift, twin‑engine helicopter developed by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in the early 2020s as a direct response to the growing demand for versatile, high‑performance platforms in both civil and military markets. The program began in 2018, when Sikorsky’s engineering team combined lessons learned from the S‑92 and the newly introduced X2 technology demonstrator, aiming to create a rotorcraft that could deliver superior payload capacity, range, and speed while maintaining excellent maneuverability in confined environments.
