Dozor-100
Dozor‑100, produced by the Russian aerospace firm Transas, entered development in 2012 as the company’s response to a growing demand for versatile mid‑range transport aircraft. The prototype first flew on 14 June 2015 from the Vnukovo test field, and after a series of certification trials it received civil aviation approval in late 2017. Designed for both cargo and passenger configurations, the Dozor‑100 seats up to 92 passengers or carries 12 tonnes of freight across a 2 500 km range, making it suitable for regional airlines and humanitarian missions.
Key features include a composite‑reinforced fuselage that reduces weight by 12 percent, fly‑by‑wire controls integrated with a modern glass cockpit, and a fuel‑efficient turboprop engine delivering 2 800 kW while meeting ICAO Stage 4 noise standards. The aircraft’s high‑wing layout provides excellent ground clearance for operations on unpaved runways, and its modular interior can be reconfigured within four hours.
The Dozor‑100’s significance lies in its blend of cost‑effective performance and operational flexibility, revitalizing short‑haul air transport in remote areas and contributing to Transas’s emergence as a competitive player in the global regional‑aircraft market. To date, more than 45 aircraft have joined fleets in Eastern Europe, Africa and Central Asia, proving its versatility in harsh environments.
